Broward County is a county in southeastern Florida, U.S.A. According to a 2017 census report, the county had a population of 1,935,878, making it the second-most populous county in the state of Florida and the 15th-most populous county in the United States. The county seat is Fort Lauderdale.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has an area of 1,323 square miles (3,430 km²), of which 1,210 square miles (3,100 km²) is land and 113 square miles (290 km²) (8.5%) is water.
